This is Lurch with his good buddy, "Chance", a crippled horse that came to the refuge as his last hope. Although he can now get around quite well, the other horses still tend to take advantage of his disability and push him away from the feed. That is they did until Lurch came to live in that field. Lurch appointed himself Chance's bodyguard right from the start. They became best friends, eating and sleeping together from then on. |
